Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our team as a Principal Platform Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Platform Engineer to help grow our Delivery Experience and Engineering team. As a Principal Platform Engineer, you will join our Platform Engineering organization and be responsible for designing and implementing our self-service developer platform to provide our teams with quick and reliable automation for deploying applications into the cloud.

**Responsibilities:**

Develop delivery tooling to support/improve productivity for engineering teams; enabling teams to build, deploy, and own their applications end-to-end

Support engineering teams on how to architect and modernize their applications with cloud native approaches in mind

Implement CI/CD pipelines and tooling to provide best-practice architectures and infrastructure for our development team customers

Help us grow our platform for cloud delivery systems across all engineering teams at TAG (The Aspen Group) by adding new features

Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) to implement standards for created infrastructure and improve infrastructure visibility (logging/metrics/tracing)

Collaborate with Quality Engineering organization to support/build testing platform with support for rapid testing

Empower engineers by building a best-in-class data-driven delivery platform providing engineers declarative tooling to establish paved road CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, monitoring, and security

**Requirements:**

Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science (or related fields)

3-4 years of development experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Go. Experience with C# and .NET are a plus.

2-3 years of experience building/extending with existing deployment and developer platform tools (such as Tekton, Harness, Argo CD, Backstage or other similar open-source tools)

Relevant software engineering experience using common frameworks such as FastAPI/.NET 8.

Experience operating and automating Kubernetes and/or cloud environments like Google Cloud and AWS (Amazon Web Services)

Knowledge of package management such as NuGet, PyPi, NPM registries.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with development and infrastructure teams

Strong open-source mentality; in culture, contributing, and building solutions (we would love to see any OSS contributions you would like to share!)

Passion for learning and building creative solutions to complex problems

Salary: $180,000-240,000/year
