**Description**

**General Summary**

The Utility Steward will perform daily clean-up duties including dishwashing, cutlery cleaning, emptying trash, sweeping floors, equipment cleaning etc. Performs other tasks as requested throughout the Center for Creative Leadership Kitchen, Dining Room and Break areas. Set-up and execute the daily opening coffee service in the centers break areas by grinding coffee to CCL specifications, brewing coffee, and transporting coffee to CCL client participant Food & Beverage break areas, as well as filling ice bins with ice, daily quality control check regarding F&B break area, clean-up/sanitizing work, ensures beverage supply and condiments are adequately stocked and ensure that all areas are properly open with lights on, etc.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**

- Daily- performs clean-up duties including dishwashing, emptying trash, sweeping floors, equipment clean-up, etc. Ensures that all food areas & dish room are clean at end of shift.

- Daily - puts away all dishes and fills cutlery containers, fills ice stations throughout the building, and lifts heavy pots and other items.

- Daily- Brews all coffee for CCL client participant break area locations known as Dining Room, Lakeview and Atrium by grinding coffee beans to specification and brewing and displaying coffee at these locations as well as our employee break area known as Caf. This important duty must adhere to the quality standards of an Executive Education facility, CCL standards and must be performed in a timely manner.

- Set up, stock, and maintain coffee stations in the Atrium, Lakeview, Dining Room and Caf on a participant demand basis for daily use and consumption.

- Performs weekly deep equipment clean as directed and needed for Fryer, Ovens, Steam Tables, Refrigerated Coolers, Floors, Dishwasher and Storage areas.

- During heavy program weeks, assists in preparing foods by performing a combination of the following: weighs, measures, washes, peels, cuts, grinds, breads, stirs and/or strains vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry, seafood, soups, sauces, and other foods to the quality standards of an Executive Dining Room and on a timely basis.

- Responsible for following all Food Services Guidelines

- Performs other tasks as requested.

**Specific Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required**

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as you will be representing CCL and may have daily interaction with CCL clients, executive participants, and CCL faculty. This experience is normally obtained through work experience in a customer service-based environment.

- Ability to work with food service equipment.

- Working knowledge of restaurant food service cleaning methods. This is normally acquired through three months on the job experience.

- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, adapt quickly to changes and work independently.

- The ability to meet deadlines, excellent time management and organization skills.

- Good interpersonal skills are required due to the team effort necessary to complete tasks.

- Ability to meet sanitation standards which include daily personal hygiene.

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as well as walk for moderate distances while performing job duties.

- Must follow the dress code.

- Punctuality and regular attendance required.
