Camino Robotics, Inc. is Hiring an Assembly Technician Lead Near Torrance, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise assembly team in assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and testing mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out accurately, utilizing proper tooling and documentation.
  • Utilize hand tools such as, but not limited to, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, sander, grinder, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, multimeters, or specialized test equipment as needed.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify and address any defective items according to established procedures.
  • Organize data and prepare comprehensive test reports.
  • Conduct acceptance tests on various units including new developments, repairs, modifications, and production units.
  • Perform in-process testing and final verification using appropriate test equipment.
  • Package products and assemble kits according to Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring form, fit, and function are verified.
  • Drive process improvements within hardware and test equipment, collaborating with Quality Engineers as needed.
  • Identify and report quality problems, adhering to reporting procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on workflow within the product line.
  • Clean, maintain, and operate automated production equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workbenches before and after shifts.
  • Participate in cross-training activities as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, including temporary reassignment to cover workload in other production areas.
  • Reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, testing schematics, and verbal or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and understanding of Lean principles.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Good understanding of basic computer applications.
  • Minimum of 4 years of mechanical assembly experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally sit, reach, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities are required including peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, with occasional exposure to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, or airborne particles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
