CEMS Analyzer Technician Apprentice

Cemtek KVB-Enertec, based in Southern California, is one of the leading Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) companies in the country. We engineer CEMS with specialty gas analyzers for monitoring emissions in refinery process applications, power plants, cement plants, steel mills etc. We're currently recruiting for an apprentice to learn the CEMS technology.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Service Manager and/or Site Supervisor, the technician will:

• Perform calibration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of gas analyzers and analytical instrumentation for continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS).
• Maintain all logs and required documentation for repairs and preventative maintenance performed. 
• Work to logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions.

• Complete preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance to improve operation of systems, instruments, and controls for metering and electrical equipment installed at customer facilities and plants.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Familiarity with/ability to use various test equipment (multi meters, flow meters, and electronic test equipment).

• Electrical or mechanical experience.

• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Possess a high degree of initiative, judgment, and ability to work independently.

• Have a flexible schedule and ability to work both over-time, weekends and be on call for emergencies.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various (sometimes hazardous) physical environments.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by Cemtek’s vehicle insurance carrier.
