The Sheyn Laboratory focuses on the development of stem cell therapies for multiple musculoskeletal disorders caused by acute injuries and aging. As a Postdoctoral Scientist, plan and conduct experiments in vitro to manipulate induced pluripotent stem cells, (iPSC) combined with biomaterials in bioreactors and organ-on-chip systems and will manage in vivo regeneration applications with PI’s and lab staff’s support. The collected data from iPSC-derived stem cells differentiation will help to develop potential individualized therapeutic candidates for human patients. You'll have the opportunity to learn and implement different omics techniques (SN-RNAseq, Mass Spec, etc.) in big data generation and analysis, and continue externally funded (CIRM and NIH) projects, but also assist in developing new concepts that will be used for new grant applications.

Working independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, the Research Fellow will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout training period. Analyzes and interprets data. May develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. May assist in preparation of grant proposals. Participates in publications and presentations as author or co-author. Not responsible for generating grant funds.
