Job Summary:

The Clinical Social Worker LCSW provides a full range of social work services in collaboration with other CSMC staff to meet the psychosocial and resource needs of patients/families/significant others. This position provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation; Formulates, develops, and implements a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions; Provides brief individual crisis intervention; Participates in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provides clinical social work perspective in clinical care team meetings; Documents assessment plans, interactions, and interventions according to departmental, hospital and/or health system guidelines and standards. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

Master's Degree from a School of Social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education

Licenses:

No license or certification required

Experience:

2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting; experience in oncology preferred

Physical Demands:

Sitting at a desk or table in an office environment with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects
