Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician:

Are you dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate? Do you have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism? If so, we have an immediate full-time opening for a Behavior Technician in our small, community-based ABA program in Downingtown, PA. Our program is year-round and focuses on enhancing the quality of life for adolescents and adults with autism, as well as our dedicated staff.

Salary Range: $21 - $27 an hour, based upon related experience and degree status.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting accurate data on the behavior targeted for intervention to monitor progress effectively
  • Utilizing various data collection methods as instructed
  • Collaborating in the development of functional assessment-based intervention plans
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs as designed by the BCBA
  • Providing ongoing skill acquisition support and implementing teaching procedures
  • Implementing behavior reduction plans developed by the BCBA
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients while managing challenging behaviors.
  • Preparing and submitting timely progress notes and other required documentation
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships to enhance the client's learning experience
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Participating in ongoing supervision sessions with the BCBA
  • Completing required training and professional development to enhance skills
  • Managing and responding appropriately to crisis situations, following established protocols
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved
  • Providing insights and observations to support data-driven decision-making

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree (psychology, social work, sociology, education, counseling) preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills and team mentality.
  • Desire for continued learning opportunities, and willingness to embrace instruction.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team members, and a desire to work with individuals with autism.
  • Reliable attendance record.
  • Must complete Registered Behavior Technician credential requirements within 90 days of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

  • 8:15am-4:15pm
