MI Healthy Climate Corps Program Coordinator, Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) Organization/Grantor: Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM)Type/Term: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $53,560 annuallyDeadline: Mar 03, 2024Description: CEDAM is seeking an experienced program coordinator to support future climate leaders participating in the MI Healthy Climate Corps program. The MI Healthy Climate Corps (MHC Corps) is a new program of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), for which CEDAM is the operator partner. Starting in March, 30 MHC Corps members will be deployed statewide to provide critical capacity to communities tackling climate change. Member projects tie directly to the MI Healthy Climate Plan and are tailored to the organization at which they serve.The program coordinator position is responsible for program administrative tasks and will be the first point of contact for day-to-day AmeriCorps member interactions. As such, they will have the opportunity to nurture statewide relationships, ensure program compliance, and be an integral part of supporting future climate leaders. The program coordinator will report directly to the MI Healthy Climate Corps program manager.CEDAM is a network of community champions building an equitable Michigan. Through engagement and collaboration, we sustain a thriving and equitable community economic development sector across the state.Responsibilities :The program coordinator works hand-in-hand with CEDAMs MI Healthy Climate Corps program manager to support program participants who serve at host partner organizations statewide. This includes:Program Administration : The program coordinator is thepoint of contact for day-to-day MHC Corps member questions and will provide excellent customer service throughout the process. They will: Promptly answer questions and provide guidance that meets AmeriCorps complianceCollect and ensure accurate program paperwork is completed, including new hire paperwork, timesheets, monthly reports, and contractsCoordinate with host partners, members, and program manager to schedule site visitsAttend site visits as ableProgram Recruitment: The program coordinator is responsible for the setup and management of the MHC Corps partner and member application. They will: Manage application portals and provide technical assistance for applicantsParticipate in the host partner application review and selection processSchedule final interviews with program participant candidates and participate in candidate interviewsTraining and Event Support: The program coordinator supports the program manager in implementing a yearly training plan with virtual and in-person components. They will: Coordinate schedules, invitations, and event logisticsBook meeting space, lodging, and cateringProvide virtual or in-person technical supportFollow-up with training participants, guests, and presentersEnsure training websites are maintainedCommunications and Outreach: The program coordinator collaborates with CEDAMs communications team to highlight the program's success. They will: Create content for CEDAM newsletters, blog posts, and social media to promote the programCross-Organization Support : As part of the CEDAM team, the program coordinator participates in cross-organization activities.
