State of North Dakota is Hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Near Bismarck, ND

The primary role of the North Dakota Heritage Center part-time Security Officer is to ensure the security and safety of the SHSND collections and collections on loan from other entities, maintain a high level of safety and security for the visiting public and agency staff, and maintain the integrity of all security and safety equipment and systems required to meet or exceed the SHSND mission statement.
To accomplish this, regular duties include patrolling all exhibit galleries and public spaces, maintaining situational awareness of activities and location of visitors, following emergency response procedures during public hours, and enforcing all agency rules and regulations from Friday to Monday, totaling 16-24 hours per week. Friday and Monday offer flexible hours while Saturday and Sunday will be from 9:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m . Additional weekday and evening shifts may be available.
To be successful in this position you must have strong customer service skills, an enthusiastic, and outgoing personality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adhere to a schedule, a willingness to work flexible hours, maintain a level-head, and exercise good judgment during all situations.
To be considered for the Part-time Security Officer position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be proficient using computers, have the ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds, assist visitors throughout the building as necessary, and ascend/descend stairs.
Preference will be given to applicants that have customer service experience and previous experience in emergency response, medical emergencies, and using two-way radios for communication.
