Menlo Park Academy, Ohio’s only public school exclusively serving gifted children in grades K-8, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our Administrative Team. Exempt Position; Full-Time (12 Months)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Events & Outreach
● Prepare, order, and organize Admissions materials, give-aways, and marketing materials for events and ongoing use.
● Responsible for pre-event and event day preparations and facilitation including but not limited to materials, site confirmations, setup and breakdown, and on-site support. These events include but are not limited to Open Houses, Information Nights, recruitment fairs, and admissions and/or retention school activities.
● Schedule literature drop-off with designated outreach sites (such as preschools and community organizations), deliver marketing materials, and initiate an “Introduction to Menlo Park Academy” conversation.
Tracking & Database Support
● Participate in database training.
● Input archival data, and ongoing prospect information.
● Generate or collect prospect reports as requested.
Communication & Scheduling
● Responds to initial phone inquiries with requested information, schedules calls with the Associate Director of Admissions, and manages a callback log for other members of the team.
● Schedules prospective family meetings, updates and ensures accuracy of Admissions calendar as well as calendar for team as requested, and seeks to identify any potential scheduling conflicts between Admissions and School Calendar.
● Make initial contact, schedule meetings, attend if requested, and provide follow-up communications with area preschools, educational facilities, and other institutions at the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions.
● Champion other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree, preferred, with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
● Excellent computer skills, and proven experience with Google Business Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet), and Windows.
● Proven organizational skills, self-starter, and an ability to follow through on assignments.
● Strong interpersonal, presentation, and phone skills, with a proven ability to communicate and work collaboratively.
● Travel around Cleveland and its outreaching suburbs required.
● Evening and weekend hours required for recurring Admissions events.
