We currently have openings for phlebotomists on our mobile collections team, which travels to different locations for blood drives. This position provides a unique opportunity to work and connect with many different donors daily.
What you'll be doing:
•Take the time to personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand how impactful their donation is.
•Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again.
•Be detail-oriented all day, every day. This ensures that the blood you collect meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused.
•Work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at the donation sites.

Training Schedule (first eight weeks)
•Week 1: Classroom Training - Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
•Weeks 2, 3 & 4: Field Training - days & hours will vary depending on Mobile Drives or Donor Center hours
•Week 4: Classroom Training - Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
•Weeks 5, 6, 7 & 8: Field Training - days & hours will vary depending on Mobile Drives or Donor Center hours
Standard Schedule following Training:
•To best meet the needs of our donors and community, staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays. Blood drives may be scheduled in locations up to 2-3 hours away.
•Schedule is provided 3 weeks in advance
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Required qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Six months to 1 year of general work experience or education in the medical field that includes comparable expertise, such as an internship or externship.
•Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
•Ability to lift and set up blood collection equipment/supplies weighing 25 to 120 pounds (partner carry). Ability to load and unload vehicles, using push carts/dollies weighing up to approximately 250 pounds, in all weather conditions.

•Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience
•Prior leadership experience
•Bilingual (Spanish) skills
•Motivated to become a designated van or CDL driver through company-sponsored programs

•Starting rate $18.00 (can be increased based on the years of directly related experience)
•Additional opportunity to earn:
•Mobile differential after completing training - $2.00/hr
•Bilingual (Spanish) differential (must pass testing) - $2.00/hr
•CDL driver - $3.25/hr
•Van driver - $6/day
•Weekend differential - $1.00/hr
