Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Professional Level Chemical/Environmental Engineer to support the continued growth of our industry-leading private sector group. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to industrial water, wastewater and reuse projects, including but not limited to treatment facilities, programming and positioning studies, and critical water reuse projects that create sustainable and resilient water supplies for our communities.

Responsibilities

Engineering planning and design efforts associated with water, wastewater and reuse treatment and conveyance infrastructure, including:

• • Preparing programming and positioning level reports
  • Developing plans and specifications
  • Preparing cost estimates for various water, wastewater, and reuse projects
  • Completing system modeling
  • Performing permitting and alternative analysis
  • Preparing technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Completing data entry and analysis
  • Providing engineering services during construction
  • Participating in field activities such as pilot testing
  • Actively participating in in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conferences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental or other similar engineering field
• Minimum academic requirements including coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
• 4 to 8 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Engineering in Training Certification
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
