Fernandez Community Center is seeking an outpatient mental health therapist to provide services to promote healing, growth and change to the populations we serve.
In this role, the therapist provides therapy services via Telehealth or office setting and serves as a member of a therapeutic team of professionals making mental health services more available and accessible to children and families.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Complete intake, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning compliant with Clinical Coverage Policy No. 8C
• Provide individual, family, and milieu therapy guided by the treatment plan
• Provide clinical services in a team-based approach
• Provide crisis intervention for clients as appropriate
• Build and maintain a caseload of clients to consistently meet productivity expectations
• Participate in clinical consultation of clients with supervisor, professional consultants, and program staff
• Maintain progress toward licensure and follow requirements of supervision (as applicable)
• Complete all required paperwork consistent with organization and payer’s requirements
• Coordinate with school and other service providers to ensure treatment plan goals are consistent with the educational plan for each client
QUALIFICATIONS Required
• Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or other related field
• To be licensed or be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina in their field of clinical practice
• Fluency in Spanish a plus but not required
• Experience creating Diagnostic Assessments and Treatment Plans
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. school staff, case managers, other therapist)
• Ability to problem solve and be flexible
• Ability to manage time efficiently in order to ensure paperwork and billing are on time and completed correctly
