We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our GripNail facility in East Providence, RI. The Quality Inspector will report to the Quality Supervisor and be responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections of machined and stamped parts to ensure that all products meet the established manufacturing and regulatory specifications.

Starting Pay: $22.79

Hours: 6:30AM-3:00PM

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Production team members on manufacturing floor
Wash, dry and maintain production counts of Metal Tacks from production line
Operate two (2) Heat treating ovens
Inspect in-process and finished goods from production lines of multiple shifts
Assist with Inspection of incoming / outsourced products from suppliers
Maintain production and inspection records in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Maintain records of inspections and calibrations
Assist in Creating Certificate of Conformances for product ready to ship
Record filing
Other Duties such as assisting with Safety/COS projects
Any other duties as required when assigned my supervisor.

Working Conditions

This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Blueprint reading / GD T (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing)
Ability to use basic shop gauging (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators)
Record keeping
Perform minor calibrations if needed
Operate counting scales
Work independently and as part of a team.
Follow all Safety Protocols including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
High School Diploma
Must have prior inspection experience; 2-3 years minimum in a machine shop environment
Have ISO 9001:2015 experience (preferred)

For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling constantly up to 50 pounds. In addition this position requires the following abilities: Standing, Walking, Lifting, Reaching above shoulders, Bending and Twisting.
