Who we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our senior leadership team as our Vice President of Product. Reporting into our Co-CEO and leading a team of smart, dedicated and talented Product people in the disciplines of product management, design and technical writing, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and steer the direction of our suite of product offerings. You will harness the collective expertise of both our enterprise and our mid-market Product teams to drive alignment & innovation, build scalable solutions, and contribute to the continued success of our products and teams. You will also partner with leaders across the company to build a robust feedback loop between what customers want and why and what we prioritize and build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision: Develop and communicate a product vision outlining our product suite’s purpose in small, mid and enterprise size governments and the future direction of our product, ensuring alignment between business goals and decisions we make as a Product team.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and articulate a comprehensive plan for achieving the product vision, including the path to building long-term value for our customers and differentiation across our product suite.
  • Product Roadmap: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and develop a detailed product roadmap aligned with the overarching strategy across our product suite.
  • Customer Driven: Ensure the roadmap reflects a customer-centric approach and is responsive to evolving market demands.
  • Product Metrics: Establish a clear framework for success, defining and refining leading and lagging key performance indicators and success metrics for the product organization.
  • Leadership: Inspire and motivate a high-performing team, including product management, design, and technical writing.
  • Expectation Setting: Clearly articulate expectations for each discipline and role, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Decision Making: Make strategic decisions providing clear rationale and maintaining open communication across the team.
  • Accountability: Drive a culture of accountability, ensuring that every team member understands their role in achieving departmental success.
  • Hiring/Performance Managing: Lead the day-to-day management and career growth of the product team (e.g. 1:1s, career growth and mentorship), along with recruitment efforts in product to build a skilled and diverse team.
  • Coaching: Coach team members to enhance their capabilities, holding them accountable to both performance and cultural values.
  • Feedback: Provide specific and actionable constructive feedback, and make tough decisions when necessary.
  • Transparency: Provide transparency on team priorities, goals, and metrics.
  • Culture: Foster an environment where every individual is accountable for contributing to the department's success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams and leaders to align efforts and ensure seamless collaboration toward common goals.Facilitate cross-functional communication to enhance overall customer-oriented product development.
  • Senior Leadership: Contribute on the senior leadership team to overall company direction, strategy and priorities. Present updates, reports, and recommendations within the senior leadership team and to broader stakeholders.
What does success look like in this role?
  • Clearly established and communicated product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the organization.
  • Transition of Camino’s product management function to oversee the entire product suite.
  • End of year org chart for product management, design, and technical writing disciplines.
  • Defined metrics for evaluating the success of product at Clariti, including specific targets and baselines.
  • Lead the team to further develop a product baseline for our Enterprise product offering, providing a consistent product experience with the goal of enhancing immediate usability and customer satisfaction.
  • Clear process for building product with a customer-experience first mindset and involvement of customers and cross-functional internal teams in successful roadmap delivery.
About You as a Leader
  • You are a champion for the product and have a vision that can be clearly articulated and understood.
  • You inspire and motivate your team to execute on strategy and roadmap.
  • You have a solid understanding of user experience (UX) and its value in product design.
  • You encourage collaboration within the Product org and across many departments.
  • You value customer-facing documentation and see it as an essential part of the product and the customer experience
  • You believe in empowering your teams and are willing to guide the team without being overly prescriptive.
  • You provide visibility for team’s priorities, goals and metrics and create an environment in which every individual is responsible for a piece of the department’s success
  • You clearly articulate expectations for each discipline and role on the team, make tough decisions when necessary, explain the “why” behind decisions and foster two-way communication across teams
About You
  • At least 8 years of product management experience building well-crafted and successful features and enterprise SaaS products
  • At least 4 years of experience in people management or leading a team with a focus on people development
  • Experience overseeing design with a solid understanding of user experience (UX) and its value in product design
  • Possess excellent leadership and communications skills, internally championing and educating the broader company on the product roadmap, comfortable in front of clients explaining our product and understanding their workflows and pain points
  • Has successfully involved customers and cross-functional teams to gather input in a building a B2B or B2G product
  • Is experienced at establishing and maintaining key product metrics to evaluate overall usage as well as the efficacy of particular features and workflows
  • Brings a strong understanding of continuous discovery, opportunity mapping, and assumption validation
  • Applies strategic thinking around key product choices to enable progress towards the achievement of an overall product vision
  • Has experience working with a multi product offering
