Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.Essential Job Functions:The selected candidate will provide Lactation Consultation services to new moms and infants postpartum in the hospital and assist with outpatient consults.The candidate will also facilitate breastfeeding support group and teach breastfeeding classes prenatally.Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity & Inclusion and Extraordinary Caring ) in every aspect of their job.Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.Principal Accountabilities:1. Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.2. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.3. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.4. Records medical information.5. Performs other related duties as assigned.Required:1. Bachelor degree in Nursing or related field or enrolled in a BSN program.2. 2-3 years of experience in Nursing or relevant area.3. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.4. IBCLC certification and/or LCCE.Preferred:1. Masters degree in Nursing or related field.2. Previous experience with teaching childbirth classes and prenatal education.3.
