This is a job posting for Dispel's Operational Technology Network software quality assurance team. The software this team QAs is used by people to remotely access and manage some of the craziest, coolest systems on earth: dams, ships, assembly lines, refineries, ports... pretty much everything your inner 8-year old loves. We need to increase the number of QA engineers on this team to accelerate our delivery tempo while keeping our work product as close to perfect as possible.

Your primary initial responsibilities will include defining and implementing testing strategies, executing test plans, monitoring outcomes, and driving engineering improvements.

Location

This role is fully remote, but you will need to live in close enough proximity to at least two teammates to be able to link up once a month for a beverage. Our highest location priority in this round is Phoenix, AZ. Secondary locations are Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Huntsville, AL, and Fayetteville, NC.

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000.
*Salary is dependent on the location you reside in.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience creating detailed test cases based on product specifications and executing these test cases.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple testing projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• A precisionist approach to problems.
• A demonstrated understanding of, and appreciation for, excellence.

• Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or similar.
• Experience with quality management software, such as JIRA, Selenium, or TestRail.
• Experience with specific technologies and product types, such as SaaS platforms, API development and testing, and networking-intensive solutions.
• An interest in cybersecurity.
