Primary Function

This position is responsible for clerical and data entry needs, computer related tasks, preparation of bills, and general office coordination in a multi-tasking environment, as well performing specific patient care activities and a variety of non-professional services to care for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Protects, respects and maintains confidentiality with regard to patient and staff information. Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician with regard to patient care activities. Maintains a safe, clean environment and has responsibility for maintenance of clinical supply inventory. Ensures that clinical equipment is functioning and orders repairs from Engineering as needed. Observes all hospital policies and procedures. Duties also include coverage for other employees during time off.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

A High School diploma required. Certificate from approved CNA program and a minimum of one year’s job-related experience or equivalent required. State of Rhode Island C.N.A licensure is also required.
