To oversee the therapeutic and recreational activities for geriatric groups.
To coordinate staff schedules, manage and create activities and events, and maintains equipment and rooms for their activities.
Must be capable of interviewing, hiring, and training staff members for the department.
Ensure that Activities program meets federal and state regulations and are safe and appropriate for seniors.
Must have experience working in a geriatric settings such as nursing home or senior centers.
Must be physically able to perform duties such as standing for long periods, squatting, bending and lifting heavy objects.
Requirements:
3 or more years experience as an activity director in a nursing home setting or senior centers.
Must be a Certified Activity Director.
Must have Budgeting Experience.
Cpr licensed and trained in first Aid.
