Job Details Job Location Region B & C - Houston, TX Description Cantex is looking for a Clinical EMR Educator to travel to our Skilled Nursing Facilities, SNF in the Houston, Beaumont, San Antonio & Austin Areas. Job Summary: The Clinical EMR Educator is responsible for developing and implementing Cantex's Information Technology (EMR) training programs. This system requires on-going training at various levels to ensure the users are optimizing system functionality. A primary purpose of this position is to ensure users are appropriately trained as they work towards achieving "meaningful use" of HIT. This position will also provide daily support and be a resource to the CCCN's helpdesk staff in resolving user issues related to system use and/or functionality. Benefits:

Qualifications Qualifications:
Licensed LVN required
Three to five years of experience as an LVN within Long Term Care or other Health care settings.
Two-Three years of training experience with an EMR system (Healthmedx experience preferred).
Ability to work with minimal supervision and maximum accountability;
Exceptional communications abilities both orally and in writing with all levels of clinical, administrative, and support staff;
Conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles;
Ability to customize and configure Healthmedx to support clinical workflow and clinical best practices;
Ability to evaluate and analyze Healthmedx features and functionality for problem resolution;
Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills;
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule that will include some evening and weekend hours;
Ability to document workflow design and identify areas for improvement;
Knowledge of industry best practices related to patient flow and staffing roles; and
Exceptional computer skills, particularly in all Microsoft Office software.
Essential Functions:
Develop and continuously update training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions)
Conduct classroom style training for users;
Conduct one-on-one training sessions with users as needed;
Conduct observations of users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for workflow redesign;
Maintain knowledge of CCCN's standard configurations and clinic specific templates and customization;
Provide onsite training and issue resolution support at the facilities.
Serve as primary resource to CCCN's helpdesk staff in ticket resolution;
Provide user interface support for new EMR implementations;
Assist with coordinating requests by facilities for system modifications and enhancements;
Maintain an issue knowledgebase to document specific training issues related to the application; and
Perform other duties within the scope of this position as assigned.
