SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: 

Calvary Day School seeks a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Extended Day and Auxiliary Programs. This role is pivotal in enhancing our students' educational experience beyond the traditional classroom setting by offering enriching learning opportunities in arts, academics, and athletics. The Director will report directly to the Assistant Head of School for Operations/CFO and the Head of Lower School, playing a crucial role in strategic planning, managing, and operating all aspects of auxiliary programs for students 6 weeks – 12th grade. This includes extended care, after-school enrichment, and seasonal camps. A secondary focus of this position is on revenue generation and fostering community through faculty-led initiatives.

This position is a full-time, 12-month position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate, schedule, and supervise all aspects of the school's extended and auxiliary programs.

Serve as a spokesperson for the school's mission and values, acting as the primary contact for stakeholder communication.

Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, hire, train, and supervise teachers, staff, and external vendors.

Work with marketing to create and update promotional materials, engaging the school community.

Oversee program operations, including routines, procedures, and budget monitoring.

Manage summer camps and afterschool enrichment registrations, billing, and communications.

Maintain an extended care program that supports student and family needs, fostering a safe and engaging environment.

Lead and support the extended care team, promoting professional growth and program excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, this individual must be highly relational and able to perform each essential duty with excellence.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

5 to 10 years of relevant teaching and/or administrative experience in an educational or youth ministry setting.

Experience in marketing, sales, business, or program development strongly preferred.

Proven ability in supervising and coordinating large groups of students.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a talent for managing complex data and systems.

Proficiency in computer skills, including registration software, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.

Availability for a work schedule falling within the hours of 6am to 6pm, with flexibility required for early dismissals and school holidays.

Ability to build healthy, appropriate relationships while maintaining the ability to hold students to the expectations outlined by CDS.

Ability to communicate with students, parents, faculty, and staff in a timely and professional manner.
