Mater Dei High School, a co-educational college preparatory diocesan Catholic high school, has an immediate opening for a Color Guard Head Coach. Qualified candidates should be passionate, self-motivated, and should have a strong background in all aspects of a competitive high school Color Guard program. Responsibilities include collaboration in fall show design, managing, choreography, and teaching. The winter season will include coordinating, managing, teaching, and directing. Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.

Education:

High School Graduate required.

College attendee or Graduate highly desired.

Required Skills/Experience

• Qualified candidates should be passionate, and self motivated with a strong background and currently active experience in all aspects of a competitive High School Color Guard Program including the fall Marching Band season and a Winter Guard season.
• Key skills/knowledge include show design, uniforms, choreography, dance training, physical fitness training, and Guard equipment technique and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of and experience participating in and/or working with Color Guard organizations.
• Experience in recruit and building Color Guard programs.
• Completes CPR, first aide, and injury prevention and care trainings and follows established protocols in the event of an injury.
