Salary Range : $22.00-24.00/hour

Summary:

The Late Shift Front Desk Representative position is responsible for working a schedule of Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-8:30pm to assist with greeting all employees, patients, and other visitors. This individual is the first impression for many entering our center. The position will oversee the environment in the lobby and ensure the patients and their families are checking in properly, are comfortable and well taken care of by addressing basic questions and concerns. This position might provide administrative support to other departments and teams as necessary.

We strive to have all treatments completed by 8:30pm but opportunities for overtime will arise. Must be able to offer some flexibility for overtime to accommodate facility and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all patients, guests, and staff in a professional caring manner.
• Answer questions and address concerns from patients when needed.
• Contact treatment or clinic teams to check on delays or to answer more detailed questions.
• Observe all activities in the lobby to ensure proper conduct and safety at all times.
• Other duties, assignments, and/or tasks as assigned or needed.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency of computer applications, MS Office, internet research
• Strong organizational skills; innovative, intuitive with ability to identify and solve problems
• The ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times
• Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts
• Excellent communication and customer service skills often with the ability to de-escalate issues
• Ability to adapt, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology and anatomy preferred

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

• Ideally one (1) year or more of experience in a front office and/or business medical office position
• Radiation Oncology experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, patient expectations, and escalate issues to appropriate management
• Ability to juggle multiple requests and manage working with all departments and differing expectations of staff, Physicians and patients
• High School graduate or equivalent
