Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
* Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
* Track shipments in transit and provide customers with updates on delivery status as needed.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding shipping status, delivery times, and any shipping-related issues or concerns.
* Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged shipments, and other shipping-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customs requirements.
* Optimize shipping costs by comparing rates from different carriers, negotiating contracts, and selecting the most cost-effective shipping methods.
* Generate reports on shipping activities, including shipment volumes, delivery performance, and shipping costs, to support decision-making and improve efficiency.
* Collaborate with other departments such as sales, purchasing, and customer service to coordinate order fulfillment and address customer needs effectively.
* Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications :
2 year of Logistics experience within Manufacturing Industry Experience most recent
Must be able to multitask.
Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
High attention to detail and problem solving skills
Bilingual Spanish is a Plus
Associates Degree is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
