SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is the primary contact person for existing customers and responsible for developing new accounts. The following job description represents a multi-skilled job classification of a Business Development Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Identify and research potential clients
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
• Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
• Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
• Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
• Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
• Conduct ongoing market research
• Work with the pricing department to create rate proposals
• Drive the end-to-end sales process
• Prepare and submit sales contracts
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelors or masters degree in business management, business administration, marketing, and sales, or in a technical field related to our products (Desirable).
· Proven sales/business development experience (5 yrs.). Experience in the automotive/energy or related industry and specifically the UK Bus market or High-Power Charger market is a strong bonus.
