Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this job are to perform routine and emergency repair work to equipment and machinery. Assure operations meet production requirements and quality specifications.

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Perform all duties in a safe manner consistent with company Policy and Procedures and safety training.

Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.

Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Perform general labor duties as assigned or needed by management.

Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.

Perform emergency repairs as needed.

Monitor and inspect equipment/machinery for mechanical soundness and make required and necessary repairs.

Perform preventative maintenance.

Perform all job functions consistent with Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Control Guidelines.

Must have good understanding of computer control system throughout the mill.

Perform all duties as assigned by management.

Must attend scheduled safety meetings and other training meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be task oriented and a self-starter with the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Must be able to operate material handling equipment.

Experience in metal fabrication, feed equipment mechanics, electrical wiring and motors.

Must be able to work flexible hours as required to be on call.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment.

Ability to work at heights and climb ladders.

Ability to work in confined spaces.

Ability to work in hot and cold environments.

Ability to work in any weather environment.

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Exposure to wet, humid, and dusty conditions and moving mechanical parts.

Occasionally exposed to high precarious places, extreme cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

Exposure to very loud noise level.
