Key Responsibilities:
* Create individualized recovery plans based on clients' needs and preferences
* Provide guidance on managing daily activities, social situations, and relationships
* Connect clients with local resources, including medical providers, support groups, and educational institutions
* Facilitate group sessions focused on developing practical skills related to intuitive eating, cooking, meal planning, body image, self-esteem, stress management, and relapse prevention
* Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to discussions regarding assessment, intervention strategies, progress monitoring, discharge planning, and aftercare recommendations
* Foster open communication channels between clients, family members, referral sources, and service providers
* Document case notes, assessments, progress reports, and discharge summaries according to agency policies and procedures
* Attend regular trainings and workshops relevant to the field of eating disorders
* Participate in clinical consultation, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution

  • Work experience in a related human servicesfield may substitute for educational requirements. *Related fields may include direct support such as case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation, and more. Four years of qualifying experience minimum or a combination of education and experience equaling four years required.

  • Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP)
    CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D

Additional Qualifications:
* Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches used in treating eating disorders, particularly CBT, DBT, FBT, and ACT
* Demonstrated understanding of the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for feeding and eating disorders

Passion for helping people recover from eating disorders and supporting their overall well-being
* Capacity to handle sensitive issues and challenging conversations with empathy and respect
* Comfortable engaging in honest dialogues around food, weight, exercise, and physical appearance
* Adaptability and willingness to learn alongside seasoned clinicians and specialists
* Cultural humility and awareness when interacting with diverse populations
* Self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously
* Team player able to establish rapport quickly and effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
