Burlington Public Schools is Hiring a Workshop Assistant Director/Choreographer for BEST - Summer 2024 Near Burlington, MA

Workshop Assistant Director/ Choreographer for BESTPosition: Burlington Educational Summer Theater Description: Assist the Director in choosing music, dances and scenes that are appropriate for the students Choreograph the songs for the show and teach the movement to the students Oversee the dancing and movement aspects Collaborate with the Director, counselors and other staff members Ensure that there is adequate supervision of the students Promote an environment based on working as an ensemble, taking creative risks, and having fun. Help produce a 30 minute workshop performance For students in grades 1-5 Production period: July 8 - July 19, Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 1:30 Performances on Friday July 12 and 19, 1:00 Planning meetings before and after Requirements: Ability to demonstrate dance movement Must have stamina to teach a large group of kids for 5 hours per day Locations: Burlington High School, Burlington MA Compensation: $1500 Burlington's student body represents a broad range of cultures and backgrounds.
