Burlington Public Schools is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - 2024/2025 Near Burlington, MA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst - 2024/2025 Job Description: The Burlington Public Schools are seeking a skilled and experienced BCBA to support children, staff, and families at all levels and programs for the start of the 2024-2025 SY. The BCBA will work with special education and school-based teams on behalf of children who present with a variety of disabilities and behavioral challenges that impact their access to learning. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Develop materials and provide resources for and provide professional development for administrators, educators, instructional assistants, ABA technicians in Applied Behavior Analysis and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of ABA for students with autism and other disabilities Conduct behavior assessments requiring their expertise (e.g. functional analysis and/or functional behavior assessments of ongoing problem behavior not appropriately or sufficiently addressed with less intensive interventions) when those assessments cannot appropriately be completed by another member of the school staff Develops and maintains behavioral data and creates graphical data representations and reports for progress monitoring on a monthly basis of students with disabilities. Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of plans Assists primary liaison for students case in monitoring and reporting on students behavioral progress through data analysis and observation Provides initial and ongoing training to support staff to implement behavior support plans and data collection systems in conjunction with liaisons Assists in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Serve as a consistent resource to classroom teachers, special education teachers, and ABA technicians Travel from site to site for the purpose of providing direct treatment, consultation, and collaboration for students. Participate in required professional development, such as restraint training, CPR/First Aid certification, and staff meetings and extended day sessions Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education Job Requirements: BCBA Certification State Licensure (LABA) Special Education Certification At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Master degree preferred.
