Warehouse Associate

Burd & Fletcher – Independence, MO

We are a manufacturer of paperboard products from folding cartons to formed paperboard cups, in business for over 130 years and family owned.

Burd & Fletcher is now looking for warehouse associates for 2nd shift (2nd Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm) positions scheduled for a 40-hour work week, this is a union job, volunteer overtime potential and may require mandatory overtime. Additional shift differential for 2nd shift = $0.55 per hour.

A warehouse associate is commonly expected to have basic computer as well as forklift knowledge. Workers hired into this position will be trained to eventually operate various machines and learn processes related to shipping and receiving of paperboard products. Warehouse experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Job Function:

• A warehouse worker prepares and receives orders as well as moves, stocks and records product inventory.
• Ensure the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Identify quality issues.
• Requires good written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally required to lift and transfer an average weight of 30lbs.
• Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation & a strong work-ethic.
