Job Summary:

The core responsibility of this role is to secure new customers by selling maintenance agreements related to HVAC and Controls, Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with promoting proactive mechanical, energy, and controls projects to new clients. This position demands the capacity and eagerness to excel in a dynamic, multitasking environment with a primary emphasis on sales, client prospecting, and customer service, often involving travel to potential and current customer locations (all local).

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Grow Service maintenance base by selling commercial HVAC service products & solutions to new customers, including: repair service, modernization (systems upgrades), Controls and service agreements (HVAC and Controls).
  • Follows a disciplined and professional process to identify, target and qualify prospective new customers; takes advantage of market conditions and networks effectively to uncover new leads and contacts.
  • Contacts prospective customers and schedules appointments. Builds a referral network to identify new customers.
  • Complete proper scheduling and execution of weekly/monthly calls as assigned by management (Target is 5 new appointment per week).
  • Reviews and finalizes proposals (in-person) with prospects and secures their commitment to EMCOR Fluidics.
  • Keeps management informed of progress and account status using company CRM tool and other means. Knows when to call for assistance from management to keep the sales process moving.
  • Learn and maintain company pricing software.
  • Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services, at all times.
  • Conducts customer kick-off meetings, resolves customer issues, creates new service repair / replacement opportunities, maintains service agreements, extends service agreements and supports the collections process.
  • Work with company personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond.
  • Perform customer surveys as required/requested to determine opportunities for enhanced energy efficiency through equipment replacement/retrofit and proactive predictive maintenance.
  • Execute all Company processes and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge in order to promote a professional image in the market.
  • Attend related trade association and business association’s events to further develop relationships. (BOMA, IFMA, Ect.).
  • Reach your written and annual sales goals.
  • This is not a remote position. Interaction with entire company and attending meetings internally is mandatory. Although the position is outside sales all computer and phone prospecting to be done on-site. If activity goals are continually met (appointment per week/ proposals generated and quarterly financial goals) flexibility in remote operation will be adjusted. However it will not be adjusted 100% remote.

Qualifications

Education / Work Experience:

  • Sales experience selling HVAC services (or similar non-tangible commercial services) in a business-to-business environment desired.
  • Ability to read job specifications to determine the proper use of products required.
  • High school diploma or GED required, college graduate preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work environment required.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record required.
