Our Tube Fitting Division in Eaton, Ohio is looking for CNC Machine Operator Team Members to help keep the world moving. You will use your hands and machines to build Parker products in a safe and sustainable manner. You must have good technical knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to produce complex fittings by putting together smaller components.

Pay

Starting at $19/hr. plus $1/hr. shift premium

Job Type

Full-time

2nd Shift (3 p.m. - 11 p.m.)

3rd Shift (11 p.m. - 7 a.m.) (Sunday Night through Friday Morning)

Team Member must be able to work scheduled mandatory overtime when needed

Aspects of Your Work

Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Measures, marks, and scribe's dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.

Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Perform routine daily operator preventative maintenance.

Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Must follow written standard work procedures including all safety and 5S procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret blue prints.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge to access and update Database and Manufacturing software.

Certified Operator Training is a requirement to be successful in this position.
