Currently, we are seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of CNC Lathe Machinist in Berlin, CT.
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
As a CNC Lathe/Swiss Machinist, your primary responsibility will be programming at the machines using G & M Code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, set-up, and operation of CNC Lathes.
- Implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices and methodologies.
- Utilization of 5 or more years of CNC Lathe experience in programming (with proficiency in Fanuc controls, Mastercam, or CAMWorks), setting up, and independently operating a CNC Conventional and Swiss Lathe (preference given to those with experience in Star, Hardinge, or DMG Mori CNC Conventional or Swiss Lathe).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong familiarity with measuring equipment such as optical comparators, micrometers, verniers, etc.
- Demonstrated dependability and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Solid shop math skills.
Job Qualifications:
- Proficiency in G&M Code and GD&T.
- Experience in CNC Lathe Operating and programming.
Additional Details:
Duration: Direct hire or Contract Temp to hire
Location: Berlin, CT
Salary: $28-42/hr.
Shift: 1st & 2nd shifts available
