Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping/Receiving Worker to join our team. As a Shipping/Receiving Worker, you will be responsible for daily shipping, receiving, inventory count, and general warehouse support. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations at the branch level. This position reports to the Branch Manager and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Denver, CO 
- Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (DOE)
- Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process packing slips and perform daily shipping and receiving tasks
- Stock shelves and pull parts for shipment
- Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Assist with loading and unloading products from delivery trucks
- Familiarize yourself with shipping vendor software and associated paperwork
- Perform basic inquiries into the ERP system
- Complete daily forklift maintenance checklist and ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed on time
- Serve as a backup driver for deliveries, maintaining an accurate delivery log and performing vehicle maintenance
- Monitor inventory levels and perform cycle counts
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Inform supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or material
- Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of this job classification
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment is preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proactive and able to take ownership of work
- Organized and able to maintain a clean work area
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of previous experience in warehousing or customer service roles
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
