We are currently seeking the following position to join our team Houston (near 290 & Beltway 8).

Warehouse & Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

Scope:

This position is responsible for various warehouse/shop activities, including inventory, inspections, packaging, and appropriate documentation/paperwork for multiple carriers. Also responsible for all Shipping/Receiving duties including reviewing items against PO’s, receiving into computer system and moving to inventory. Responsible for all computer transactions and special handling as necessary. This position will also perform Inventory duties as needed. This role is critical to our On Time Delivery metrics.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Pull parts for inspection prior to assembly.
  • Prepare valves, spare parts, and other products for final shipment to the customer and/or job site, including final cleaning and packaging of products, including international shipments
  • Preparation and completion of all appropriate documentation and computer transactions including:
  • Commercial invoices
  • Government required paperwork
  • Bills of Lading
  • All required freight paperwork as necessary
  • Responsible for communicating inventory levels prior to need
  • Build custom pallets & crates for orders
  • Export Crating preparation for valve and valve components for International shipments and all required customs paperwork
  • Schedule freight with appropriate carriers and ensure packages are labeled correctly
  • Operate forklift for shipping/receiving activities, loading/unloading and other tasks as needed
  • Unload receivables & inspect for damage; report as necessary
  • Verification of quantities & part numbers and entry into system
  • Transport to Inventory
  • Review RGA’s as they are received; ensure proper documentation & review with Planning/Inside Sales team
  • Support assembly and paint departments as needed

Experience/Education Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 3 years shipping/receiving and/or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other hand tools
  • Basic carpentry skills
  • Microsoft Word/Excel, Internet, Email experience required.
  • Knowledge of shipping laws & regulations helpful.
  • Good organization skills necessary.
  • Demonstrated track record of steady, reliable work ethic and attendance.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift and push large heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have full mobility to lift from floor and move parts to shelves
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach for 8 hours per day
  • Prior experience in ERP and process improvement helpful
