About the job

We’re looking for an experienced Sr Technical Product Manager to join the Brightly Platform Team. Your mission will be to define and implement a world-class, industry leading Asset Register for our company. This critical initiative is key to the company’s growth and will lead to innovative, new revenue generating opportunities for our business.

The Sr Technical Product Manager is a key member of the Product Management team, and in partnership with Engineering, will be responsible for developing and executing on the strategy, vision and roadmap to create a global Asset Register for Brightly. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop the vision for what a global asset register can enable for Brightly and define a roadmap to deliver on this vision 
  • Lead discovery and ideation sessions with internal stakeholders (Product, Sales, Client Success) and clients to capture needs across our product portfolio 
  • Work with other Product Managers to identify new market opportunities and features and partner on pricing and packaging these solutions 
  • Perform Competitive Intelligence to ensure Brightly strategy stands out in an aggressive market
  • Partner with Engineering to define infrastructure and technology needed to create a scalable and extensible solution 
  • Decompose the market requirements into detailed functional product requirements (i.e., user stories and acceptance criteria) that enable engineering to build it, QA to test it; in an Agile environment
  • Serve in the role of Product Owner in an agile development environment including developing and maintaining a robust backlog writing and refining user stories
  • Lead the full product development process: problem identification, discovery, scoping and design 
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop and execute against a go-to-market plan

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • The successful candidate will possess 5 years minimum of product management experience on an Enterprise SaaS solution, platform, marketplace, or other software-led product in an agile B2B environment, and 7 years of experience overall 
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of the importance of data democratization, systemization and standardization across complex ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience taking an initiative from concept to market 
  • Strong ability to manage competing needs and communicate the “why” behind prioritization decisions 
  • Experienced at developing user stories and acceptance criteria and communicating business value to the engineering team
  • General understanding of data security and residency regulations 
  • Thrives?in ambiguous situations, motivated by the opportunity to work with teams to define a clear course of action
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems? 
  • Comfortable with friction and not afraid to make hard, sometimes unpopular decisions? 
  • Superb communication skills for both oral and written communication; ability to communicate confidently across all levels in the organization.?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other analytical or based field
  • Background and/or familiarity with Asset Management a plus
