Brasfield & Gorrie is Hiring an IT Business Analyst I Near Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

An IT Project Analyst will support the Information Technology (IT) department and IT PMO Manager with planning, scheduling, cost analysis and process analysis. This role will also work to foster active communication between IT and other company departments and divisions.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Partner with IT PMO Manager to establish and maintain a project management methodology incorporating standards, processes, documentation, and reporting
  • Ensure proper identification, establishment, and assignment of stakeholders for PMO projects
  • Assist in the prioritization of projects within the IT Department
  • Provide both high-level oversight schedules for the department and detailed project schedules where needed
  • Coordinate schedules and resource assignments between projects
  • Track and report on project portfolio performance providing a real-time, comprehensive view of all projects
  • Assist with IT Department budget planning, tracking, and forecasting
  • Establish or improve processes and procedures being supported throughout the IT Department

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with Computer or Information related degree preferred
  • Minimum of one to three years IT industry experience preferred
  • IT customer service experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Experience with Smartsheet application preferred
  • Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment
  • Desire to excel in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success
  • Ability to research, collect data, and clearly present results to a large audience
  • Experience with Agile methodology preferred
