Job Description Introduction:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties have played an integral role in the lives of local youth for more than 50 years, providing daily programs and services to thousands of young people. We are currently seeking a part-time, like-minded individual who is as passionate about their profession as BGCSDC is about our mission. As a High School Youth Development Professional, you will plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise activities and events in a specific program area. Additionally, the High School Youth Devlopment Professional's should feel comfortable to promote the safety of club members, quality programs and the appearance of the club at all times
High School Youth Development Professional is a person that:

• Models healthy behaviors to inspire teens in the creative process
• Promotes and coordinate program services that are both fun and instructional
• Creates an environment that facilitates learning
• Establishes positive relationships with members and their parents and/or guardians
• Engages youth in activities and projects that stive to enhance academic success.

Qualifications
Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be 21
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Valid State Driver's License
• Pass pre-employment Level II background screening and drug test.
• Belief in the mission, principles, values, and standards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County
• Must possess excellent leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, youth, parents, local community leaders, schools, and community organizations.
