Position: Little League Coordinator Location: 321 East 111th St. New York, NY 10029 Salary Range: $20.00 per hour Schedule: 15 hours per week Employment Type : Seasonal, Non - Exempt Dates: Immediately - July 2024 About Us Founded in 1876, The Boys' Club of New York (BCNY) is a youth development organization with the mission to empower boys and young men, ages 7 to 21, by providing effective programs and a supportive community. Job Summary We are a COVID-19 proactive organization that makes every effort to create and maintain an environment that is safe for our members and staff. The Little League Coordinator participates in supporting little league programs. He/she will also assist in training support staff, including project coach interns, and volunteers. Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Gerry Clubhouse Director, and Physical Education Director, oversees the development and operations of the East Harlem Little League.
Assist in the recruitment of participants for Little League programming.
Plans and manages registration, team assignments, coach and umpire recruitment and training, uniform and equipment purchases and maintenance.
Keep hard and electronic documentation of all relevant information including enrollment and attendance.
Collect and submit enrollment, attendance, and satisfaction data.
Oversees the weekly schedule of games for t-ball, minors, and majors.
Assist the Gerry Clubhouse Director, and Physical Education Director in providing training to coaches, umpires, and Project Coach interns.
Attend mandatory professional development trainings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous youth development and sports experience
Strong communication skills with an ability to connect effectively with youth, staff, and parents
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience managing staff preferred
First Aid and CPR certification desirable
