We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in the Stuart, Florida office. This in-office position involves providing project management, Civil 3D site modeling, design, plan preparation, permitting, and engineering during construction services on a diverse range of projects, including coastal, water management, natural systems restoration, agricultural, municipal, solar, and land development. The role requires occasional field work and travel.

 

Your Role:

·Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met within the budget and schedule.

·Develop and utilize Civil 3D models for site development projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.

·Create detailed engineering designs and plans, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

·Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

·Provide engineering support during the construction phase, including site visits, inspections, and resolving technical issues.

·Maintain effective communication with clients, understand their needs, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

·Provide guidance and direction to junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

·Conduct site visits, field assessments, and meetings as required, ensuring project requirements are met on-site.

·Work with other Tetra Tech offices to leverage expertise and resources for project success.

 

Qualifications:

·Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

·Florida P.E. (Professional Engineer) license required.

·8-25 years of civil engineering experience, with 5 to 10 years in project management.

·Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·Experience with stormwater modeling software (ICPR, HEC-RAS, MODRET) is a plus.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and permitting agencies.

·Proven ability to direct and track projects from start to finish, ensuring all project milestones are achieved.

·Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide direction and mentorship to junior staff.

·Must be able to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites and client offices.

·A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

·Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
