The Senior Accountant will provide support to various areas in the accounting department such as month-end close, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and change order approvals. Extensive knowledge of contract progress draw submission in the construction industry is crucial.

Collaborate on month-end close, focusing on AR/AP functions, and auditing work for accuracy.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of debits, credits, general ledger reporting, and manage inter-company invoicing and reconciliations.
Assist in cash flow forecasting, reviewing job costing, and optimizing decision-making with project managers and accounting team.
Review pending change orders, supporting AR Supervisor in Change Order processing, and ensuring timely approval and payment.
Audit expense transactions for coding accuracy and collaborate with AP team for efficient invoice processing.
Import and integrate budgets into the financial system, collaborating with stakeholders and validating accuracy.
Must keep abreast of all company, state, and federal regulations or laws at all times.

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, and/or, at least 3-5 years of experience.
Working Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Cost Accounting experience required. Experience using accounting software for invoicing or other accounting activities.
Extensive knowledge in California Construction Lien Law.

Construction AP /AR experience highly desirable.
Extensive general ledger experience in construction industry.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Excel is strongly preferred.
10-Key data entry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Ability to follow through on commitments.
Must be coachable and open to feedback and improvement.
Strong communication and comprehension.
Have good time management with the excellent multitasking skills.
Attention to detail.

Pay range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually depending on experience.
