Boston Consulting Group is Hiring a Finance Senior Manager of Special Projects Near Atlanta, GA

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The North America (NA) Special Projects Senior Manager role is dynamic and unique, providing a variety of opportunities to engage on.

Key aspects of the role:

Management of the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) team provides finance and analytical support to help leadership make informed strategic decisions on running, growing, and improving the business. As a member of the North America Region (NAMR) Finance team, he/she/they will participate in the delivery of reliable accounting services and coordination to support business needs. We have strong relationships and work closely with executive leadership, including recurring meetings and frequent interactions with the North America Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As a Financial Senior Manager, you will work collaboratively within the team and across the organization to support regional leadership and other customers with guidance on key finance topics, which may potentially include:

· Partnering with Global & Local Office colleagues to improve DSO

· Providing technical support for critical reporting needs unique to North America processes as well as continually developing & evolving the reporting as the business changes.

· Coordinating and supporting finance project initiatives and timelines to help drive key finance transformation activities.

· Identifying key areas of improvement in terms of performance and process to enable sustainable business performance.

Help drive various regional finance initiatives. Examples include:

· Managing financial risk across the portfolio of clients in NAMR

· Improving revenue recognition process

· Rolling out / adoption of new tools/finance application

· Harmonizing processes around regional policies

· Liasing between Finance Shared Services team and local finance teams with the goal to improve outcomes for both teams

· Improving various regional processes (new onboarding training, performance management, etc.)

As business needs change over time, projects and job responsibilities may change.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Decision support and business analysis

· Ability to quickly come up to speed on key KPIs, understand how they impact business

· Bring solutions to complex data and information requests to various leadership teams in running the business

· Thought partner with senior leadership and senior management

· Manage ad hoc requests

Stakeholder engagement

· Ability to work with leadership, senior management

· Ability to build relationships across NA

· Liaise with groups and individuals across NA drive regional initiatives

· Developing collaborative working relationships with business partners across teams and levels

· Balancing the needs of multiple stakeholder groups

· Communicating effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing

Process improvement and change management

· Improve processes to harmonize around best practices and align with policy

· Ability to drive change

· Ability to work in matrix organization

· Influence organization

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Math; MBA or Master’s degree a plus

· 8 years of finance-related experience ideal

· Managerial experience preferred

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Flexibility to travel as needed

· Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Business Objects, Alteryx, or Tableau experience a plus

· Prior experience in a professional services environment a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This role currently requires 3 days a week in office presence. This provides flexibility for the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues.
