Department of the Army is Hiring an Intelligence Specialist (Staff Management) with Security Clearance Near Arlington, VA

Duties * Develops policy, plans, and programs to guide intelligence and intelligence related activities. * Review analytical requirements, plans, transformation road-maps, and goals for policy implications and consistency. * Evaluate programs and initiatives for compliance with policy through program reviews and assessments against statute and established National and Departmental policy. * Conducts and participates in policy briefings and meetings on matters pertaining to all aspects of intelligence. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial/probationary period may be required for TERM and PERM appointments. * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Intelligence Strategic PlanningProgressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Permanent employees who apply, are selected for, and ultimately accept this position will be converted to a term appointment. Term positions in DCIPS may be extended up to a maximum of five years. This position may be converted to permanent without further competition after completion of two years of continuous service in this position. * Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. * Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. * Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. * Term appointments are for one year and one day on initial appointment and may be extended, if eligible, for an extension of their appointment up to the maximum 8 year time limitation. * You will be required to sign a DCIP MOU (Memorandum of understanding) for the conditions of the TERM appointment. * This position may be eligible for a non-competitive conversion to a DCIPS permanent appointment. To be converted to such an appointment the employee must: 1) Be initially selected from an announcement that specifically stated that the individual could be eligible for noncompetitive conversion to a permanent DCIPS appointment at a later date; 2) Have completed at least 2 years of continuous service with at least a "Successful" overall evaluation or record; and 3) Be converted to a permanent DCIPS position in the same work level or grad for which hired. * In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status. In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential systems subsequent to mobilization or an evacuation order.
