We are seeking a Dayshift Production Supervisor in our 180,000 sq. foot Miami Lakes production and distribution facility reporting to the Director of Operations.

Dayshift Production Supervisor

· 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

· Reports to the Director of Operations.

· Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish.

Directs and coordinates the personnel engaged in the cutting, gluing, and joining of the molding, to ensure quality product is being produced on a timely and efficient manner while using the systems in place and following the established procedures and guidelines. Applicants should possess a robust work ethic and demonstrate a readiness to work additional hours, including overtime and Saturdays, in order to accomplish organizational objectives.

Summary of essential job functions

· Oversee the day shift operations with over 50 production and warehouse staff.

· Oversee the day shift activities that include the cutting and joining of moldings for sold and unsold pieces processed daily.

· Enforce Safety and correct use of the equipment.

· Review monthly inventory levels to improve inventory allocation and distribution of raw material in the department.

· Direct the efforts of shift team leaders, coordinators, and hourly workforce to meet the daily production requirements.

· Responsible for executing the daily production plan, and leading operational activities through direct supervision and providing feedback to employees, as necessary.

· Develop a work environment that promotes safety, trust, teamwork, quality and assigns accountability.

· Responsible for ensuring staff are appropriately trained in their respective area to include understanding of their work responsibilities, safety, and use of protective equipment.

· Ensure staffing in assigned area is adequate to support production requirements.

· Through a weekly area metrics review, monitor throughput and effectiveness in the production area and implement corrective actions, if needed, to improve results.

· Ensure, monitor, and encourage the correct use of the internal production management system in place and work with the support team if any issues arise.

· Ensure all production operations meet the established quality standards and identify, implement, and track improvements in safety, quality delivery time and morale of the team.

· Assist to the daily Operations Meetings and conduct meetings with the shift area leads/supervisors to ensure daily goals are clearly communicated and obtained.

· Assists in the shift change process and work along other shifts supervisors to ensure continuity in the process.

· Review weekly hourly employee timesheets.

Other Responsibilities

· Assist with any safety and/or security incidents that might arise during the shift, actively communicating any issues to the area manager in charge, and the DOO if necessary.

· Assists in the Golden Handshake shift change process and work along other shifts managers/supervisors to ensure continuity in the process.

· Ensure End of Shift operations are completed.
