**OVERVIEW**

The Sales Associate is responsible to sell and provide exceptional customer service, possess strong product knowledge, support achievement of sales goals, promote a positive work environment and participate in day to day operations and projects as assigned by store management.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Drive for Results

o Play to win mindset! Consistently demonstrate selling enthusiasm with a customer first approach.

o Recommending related products to increase customers options and enrich their shopping experience

o Explain benefits, functions and operations of products where applicable and advise upselling on ShopHq

o Accepting and processing orders by operating the POS efficiently and quickly while engaging with the customer

o Help promote special sales within the store

o Keep the store tidy and free from hazards

Communication and Teamwork

o Build trust and mutual respect with co-workers.

o Communicate clearly and respectfully with employees and customers

o Be able to handle constructive criticism as it will help you grow as a team member

o Have a positive attitude

Operations

o Follow the Code of Conduct.

o Adhere to all operational policies and procedures to help ensure safe and efficient operations.

o Participate in the execution of store management directives within the designated timeframes.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

Adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Regular attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Any paperwork will need to be signed off on by management. Discrepancies will be discussed, and will be worked through together to help you strive as a member of our team!

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**

* Retail experience preferred.

* Experience in customer service industry preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.

Ability to operate point of sale (POS) register system with proficiency.
