**Description**

The Customer Service/Product Specialist provides assistance to customers by responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. In addition, the Marvin Inside Salesperson sustains extensive product and process knowledge in order to respond to homeowner, architect, builder, retailer, and sales persons requests for technical information, pricing, order status, and warranty information.

As a primary point of customer service contact, the Customer Service/Product Specialist provides assistance to customers by responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. In addition, the Customer Service/Product Specialist sustains extensive product and process knowledge in order to respond to homeowner, architect, builder, retailer, and sales persons requests for technical information, pricing, order status, and warranty information. This position works in collaboration with the Sales, Marketing, Service and Warehouse departments to provide customer assistance and ensure that the customers needs and expectations are met.

* Act as a point of contact for homeowners, architects, builders, and retailers by providing customer service and account support in an effective, accurate, timely and professional manner

* Respond to telephone, fax, and email inquiries and concerns from customers and Company salespeople regarding products, pricing, delivery, construction information, order status and/or warranty in a timely manner

* Maintain close working relationships with outside sales representatives and other employees by providing information and support, and assisting with resolving issues and servicing customers

* Provide customers with product and warranty information and pricing quotes according to Company guidelines

* Enter sales orders into computer and verify orders for accuracy, correct pricing and delivery schedule

* Contact Marvin or other suppliers to check order and delivery status

* Manage and follow-up on open quotes and existing sales orders

* Prepare credit/debit memos for review and approval

* Create and maintain business documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel

* Maintain current customer information using customer relationship management (CRM) software

* Vet consumer, architectural and builder inquiries to thoroughly understand need, and properly transfer request to appropriate parties.

* Accurately interpret and efficiently process dealer quote requests and orders per Company procedures

* Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments in order to keep them informed of relevant information, allow proper transfer of inquiries beyond the scope of position, and assure positive customer relationships are maintained

* Provide manager with information, status updates and suggestions concerning customers, sales orders, open items, and pricing

* Maintain current knowledge at an advanced level of Marvin and Integrity products

* Attend and participate in sales and product meetings and trade shows and events as required

* Perform additional duties as required or requested
