Description:
The process engineer will work to optimize manufacturing operations and processes within the client's manufacturing facility. They will be responsible for the day to day operations of the plant, troubleshooting machines and supporting continuous process improvement. In addition, they will drive safety efforts, support sustainable and waste reduction projects, cost analyses, and cap ex projects. This position is M-F, 1st shift. He/She may be asked to be on call on the weekends. They would not have to go in, but may need to assist with troubleshooting over the phone.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's in engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. It is preferred their experience was in flexible packaging, paper, or related. They must have examples of how they have supported process improvement efforts. This person will be leading projects and efforts, so ideal candidates will have experience with problem solving, leadership, communication, etc.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial)
- 3-5 years of experience in a process or manufacturing engineer role
- Continuous improvement experience
