Blue Ox Moving & Storage is Hiring a Driver - Mover Near Houston, TX
Blue Ox Moving and Storage is currently hiring drivers to become part of a growing organization. Full and part time hours available. Pay is based on experience with great earning potential, PLUS TIPS!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and pack customers' items to prevent damage during transit. Tasks include taking apart furniture, wrapping items to prevent damage and packing items into boxes.
- Load and unload customers items using dollies/ramps etc.
- Arrange items in the truck to fit the load and prevent objects from falling or getting damaged.
- Offload truck at destination and place items per customers request.
- Assemble furniture
- Track inventory to ensure nothing gets lost or damaged
- Answer customers' questions and address requests they have for how they want items packed, loaded, and unloaded.
- Provide information about price and time estimates and address any concerns.
- Process payments from customers
- Communicate effectively between the customer and the local office for any questions or concerns that may arise during move.
- Responsible for keeping moving trucks clean and help perform general vehicle maintenance.
- Assists other support staff with assigned functions as needed
- Perform other related essential duties as assigned or requested
- Drivers must possess valid drivers license with clean driving record and be able to pass drug test
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience
- Driving experience preferred but not required
- Able to move furniture and lift at least 70lbs
- Ability to successfully engage with customers face to face while on the job.
- Must be professional and respectful at all times.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and background check
