Description: Entry Level IT Technician working in the Information Technology Department 40 hours per week (M-F 8a-5p with 1 hour for lunch). Starting pay range, $16 to $17 per hour. Full Benefit Package included.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean Driving record
• Prefer some education/experience with computer systems
• Excellent customer service skills to include oral and written communication
• Knowledge and proficiency supporting Microsoft Technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of computer hardware/software
• Demonstrative experience and proficiency in virus detection & removal as well as operating system deployment
• Aptitude for learning and diagnosing hardware/software problems
• Computer Literacy

Synopsis of Duties:

• Provide technician assistance and support to end users for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, hardware, software, printers, fax machines, copiers, etc.
• Assist in training users on general usage of email system, telephone, etc. when needed.
• Identify the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems for both onsite and offsite staff, including PC’s, laptops, I-pads, Smartphones, printers, A/V equipment, and associated accessories
• When equipment is returned, wipe the system and reset for another user
• Provide telephone, face-to-face and online support to staff utilizing customer service skills
• Maintain inventory of equipment, obtaining staff signatures when issuing equipment
• Download and install appropriate software
• Serve as a first point of contact for all internal technology needs and issues, resolving a large percentage without escalation while providing excellent customer service
• Consistently, accurately, and in a timely fashion record all service requests and issues in the Service Desk ticketing system, triaging tickets to other members of the IT team when necessary or appropriate
• Assist in managing hardware and software asset inventories with tags, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software & peripherals
• Diagnose and resolve problems in regard to end-user network, email, Internet, local area network access and local printer problems
• Reset passwords in internal systems as well as some external systems
• Helps install local area network cabling systems & equipment such as network interface cards, hubs and switches
• Assist others during special events needing IT assistance, i.e. trainings, presentations, webinars, conference calls, etc.
• Contact vendors when necessary (i.e. for phone system, access doors, security system, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed
• Some travel will be necessary
