Our detail-oriented finance professional will be looking to make a significant impact by supporting Blue Origin's Supply Chain execution team. The Senior Financial Procurement Analyst will partner with the Supply Chain team to create a strategic vision on how to maximize savings in the external network, i.e. sourcing, volume, logistics, and distribution. Lead cost reduction efforts, recommend, and implement operational improvement metrics to identify and track cost reduction progress. You will have experience in finance supply chain optimization and the development of cost reduction metrics. This role will also support the monthly business reviews and all major financial planning processes (Monthly Close & Reporting, Annual Operating Plan, and Multi-Year Strategic Plan) as a business partner for the Supply Chain team. Our team is seeking a proactive individual with excellent financial acumen, experience in procurement cost reduction practices, and attention to detail to thrive and support our mission in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Supply Chain team to create a strategic vision on how to improve savings in the external network

• Support buyers in analyzing appropriate volumes to quote for maximum savings

• Review terms, conditions, and cost analysis on supplier proposals

• Build financial metrics to track cost reduction goals and report on performance

• Prepare material spend forecast report and work with Supply Chain team on ways to improve accuracy

• Review and ensure appropriate finance approvals on supplier bids

• Partner with the Supply Chain team to develop annual plans and forecast

• Identify and communicates risk & opportunities monthly

• Coach and lead less-experienced Finance Analyst

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical field

• 8 years of financial experience

• Experience in working with Supply Chain organizations to meet financial targets and deliver results

• Excellent communicator; articulates sophisticated concepts to a diverse audience both in writing and verbally

• Proven understanding of financial documents and operational performance drivers

• Intellectual curiosity and passion for developing new skills

• Initiative, drive, and critical thinking skills

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• MBA, CPA, or Accounting experience

• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications

• Experience with Tableau

• Experience with SQL querying, data mining
